DASS 67: Roaring Twenties

  1. Jesus Christ on a crutch! I didn't know you planned on drowning us in your man juice to start off the new year. Holy heck, that be a lot of DeathAdder.

I have abandoned you. I often don't have much to say as a response, but I'll stop lolligagging and drop a megaton comment in the near future.

  2. Come on chem trails, dog people, inside jobs; take things at face value. Bad CG Sonic movie was a thing all set to go. People reacted poorly, and the memes were harbingers of its poor box office. They had to re-work it or there would be no chance sales would fund sequels.

Normally I don't watch trailers, but temptation was too much. I watched the first trailer (not the update). I still don't know how Pet Detective's schtick will wear on me. That was annoying in the trailer. It would be cool if Robotnik gets sucked into an alternate universe--that being Mobius--and must use Sonic to escape, thus explaining why he is always after the blue blur.

  3. I loved the DADBD Comedy hour. Those ladies and gents should stick with checkers. Do you get any comments following your matches as a survivor? Do you ever ruminate in advance of these encounters about possible comebacks to future scenarios?

  4. 3:08:26 By this comment, I think you saw Stranger Things season 2, not season 1. Season 2 was definitely a step back. There was too much in-your-face nostalgia references and scenes accompanied by on-the-nose licensed classic 80s tunes. It lost some of its grunge.

The boy's name is Lucas. The girl he's pining after is a red-headed girl named Max. She and her big brother appeared in season 2. Her big brother is the most 80s teen ahole ever and gets the part right - smoking while benchpressing, driving a whip that makes too much sound, and treating everyone around like they are beneath him.

Go back and check Netflix. Actually watch season 1. You might actually like it.

  5. I looked up those Sonic Arby kid's meal toys you mentioned:

I know kid's meal toys have always been cheap, but I didn't know they could plummet through rock bottom. They used to give away heavy pieces of plastic with kid's meals like Hardee's California Raisins. Those would cause a welt if you got into a food fight. McDonalds actually minted a 101 Dalmations to tie-in with that movie. I remember them making transformer-knock-offs that transformed from things like a french-fry, burger, or ice cream cone into a robot. Those toys had multiple joints and maybe even metal screws. I don't buy fast food and wouldn't give two glances, but wow have the toys gone down hill. I wouldn't say the food was quality either but I would have to assume its quality has suffered a drop too.

  6. I never watched Mad Men. I did like how John would ham it up on 30 Rock. I know you prolly hate 30 Rock because you have a problem with Tina Fey, but I thought the show was great when I saw it.
